Your data is yours. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models. We only collect what's needed to run the app.
When you create an account and use MatchMind AI, we store:
When you use the voice note feature, your speech is converted to text directly on your iPhone using Apple's built-in speech recognition. Audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers — only the transcribed text is saved.
Your data is stored on our backend server, which is hosted on Render. All communication between the app and our server uses HTTPS encryption. Each user's data is isolated — you can only see your own players, matches, and notes.
Pro users: We maintain server-side backups of your data. If you lose access or accidentally delete something, you can email us to request data recovery.
Free users: We do not maintain server-side backups. If your data is lost, we cannot recover it. You can export your data as a JSON file anytime from the Account tab as a self-service backup.
Only you can see your data through the app. As the operator of the service, we have technical access to the database, but we will only access your data when you specifically request it (for example, if a Pro user asks us to recover lost data). We do not read, review, or share your match notes or player data for any other purpose.
When you request AI insights, the text of your notes is sent securely to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a summary or strategy. During this process:
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt, an industry-standard algorithm designed to resist brute-force attacks. All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.

Player summaries, strategies, and other AI-generated insights are produced by artificial intelligence based on the match logs and notes you provide. These are intended as informational tools to support your preparation and should not be relied upon as guarantees of match outcomes. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. Use your own judgment when making decisions on court.
MatchMind AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If we make significant changes, we'll notify users through the app. Minor clarifications may be made without notice.
